Mara Dyer wants to believe there's more to the lies she's been told.
There is.

She doesn't stop to think about where her quest for the truth might lead.
She should.

She never had to imagine how far she would go for vengeance.

Loyalties are betrayed, guilt and innocence tangle, and fate and chance collide in this shocking conclusion to Mara Dyer's story.
Retribution has arrived.

My thoughts starting the book:

My thoughts while reading the book:
and

My thoughts finishing it:
mixed with

The good:
-kept me on my toesies

-I love me some crazy... and Mara went crazy. Like so.

-Michelle Hodkin = fantastic writer
-devoured this book

The questionable:
-NOAH. WHAT THE HECKS. I started this baby thinking I would get my Noah fix, and let me just tell you... I was left hanging FOR TOO LONG!! Jesus, how many pages did I read, thinking "okay, this is fun and all... But give me my Noah Shaw, dammit."
Noah Shaw in all his glory. (or Max Irons if you prefer)
And then when he finally decided to make an appearance, I was... dismayed. Disappointed? Distressed.... Dis-SOMETHING. Where was my beautiful, tortured, sarcastic and adorable book boyfriend?? ME = ANGRY

-The ending.
Yeah. Imma leave it at that. It was....
As in, Michelle Hodkin, did you really just do that?
Somehow I feel... betrayed? And that it was cliche.
But...
I'll still reread the series. Probably.

Cheers!!! Hugs and kisses,
Cassie

We're back!!!!

Hey everyone.... Over a year ago, we decided to shut Fiction Fairies down due to homework overload but...
As of November 2, 2014 we have decided to revamp it!
Over the summer Cassie moved away to Texas, so it may be more disjointed than before. But fear not!! We have decided to try to post weekly, even if it is a boring review of our week.
Also!! Cassie (and possibly Rafia) is willing to read new adult requests, in addition to young adult. So restart those requests, and we'll start accepting again!!

Hugs and kisses-
Rafy and Cass

Review: Death of the Mad Hatter by Sarah J. Pepper

Summary: (from Goodreads.com)

The Jack prophesied: If the king loses his head, the nthe Queen with a Bleeding Heart would rule the Red Court until Time ceased to move forward. When a second carried on for infinity, every creature in Wonderland would tip their Hat to the misfit girl with a Boy's name (or was it a boy with a Girl's name?) who'd end the Reign of Terror. However, it all hinged on the One-Eyed Hare being able to convince an uninspirable Heir that the impossible was indeed possible--like stopping time--and that Love was worth a Beheading.

Heads would Roll . . .
Hearts would Break . . .
In the end, would it matter who Reigned?

I'm not familiar with the story of Alice in Wonderland, so I'm not really positive how original the book was. However, I think that it's very unique! I don't think I've ever read a book like it.

It was a very interesting read and even if I don't know the original story,  I do know the characters are very unique and believable. This isn't a book I'd usually read, but I still recommend it out there, especially since if you want to mix up your reading! I found the end wrapped up the story rather nicely and that I enjoyed the book.

As we all know, nothing is perfect. Death of the Mad Hatter was a bit overdone at times- some of the love confessions had me cringing. I mean, I salute any man who would say that mushy mush stuff to me. If he could cook on top of romancing me with the words Ryley uses, well damn. He'd be mine before he could blink! However, I don't think any teenage guy would say that sort of thing, as I know a great many teenage guys who would rather fight a grizzly then admit that sort of thing. So, suffice to say, Ryley was a bit mushy to be believable.
Other than that, I don't think there was much to criticize!
Sorry if this is really short, I have a lot of homework to do and a lot on my mind. . . But I do have an announcement to make.

I believe Rafia and I are going to shut down Fiction Fairies for the foreseeable future so we won't be responding to any emails or be updating our blog until homework dies down. I'M SORRY!!

Until next time,
Cassie
